Claire Harrison
As Chief Executive, Claire is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation. A Better Business Case practitioner and passionate about communication, Claire prides herself on removing the traditional techy jargon of the digital world to ensure Parallel’s software solutions solve our client’s data challenges.

In her spare time, Claire enjoys days out with her young family and pulling on her trainers for a run in the East Yorkshire countryside.

Michael Boland
With a first class degree in Computer Science, Michael’s specialism is building websites and web apps. Michael previously worked in the SaaS sector, and he knows our software inside and out, applying that knowledge to delivering training to help people get the most out of the platform.

Michael’s got a beautiful Shepsky dog, which takes him on a long walk every evening – the perfect wind down after a busy day of software development.

Giles Billingsley
Giles is a Parallel original, having been with the company over 20 years. He’s got experience in everything: from CD-ROMs and interactive kiosks, to data driven web apps and web mapping, specialising in JS, SQL Server, VB, PostGIS & Mapbox!

When not at work, Giles continues his quest for the optimum combination of drinking coffee and eating cake.

Rob Elm
Rob brings 15 years of software development experience to his role. Having worked on projects for everyone from the government, the police and the military, through to banks and the NHS, Rob’s accustomed to working with sensitive and secure data.

In his spare time, Rob likes nothing better than working down the allotment with his family.

Joseph Kedian
Joseph’s the newest member of the Parallel team, having joined as Graduate Software Engineer in 2025.

Joseph qualified with a first class honours degree in Computer Science, and particularly enjoys object-oriented and web-based programming.

In his spare time, when not pursuing personal programming projects, he loves to travel.

A health property expert, Harriet excels in helping NHS organisations plan and deliver their estates and infrastructure strategies. Her experience spans everything from primary and community care to acute healthcare and One Public Estate programmes, and she aims to help clients develop practical, evidence-based solutions that maximise value and support long term operational objectives.

Harriet loves to travel, with Australia and South East Asia recently ticked off her bucket list.

Cameron Barnes
Cameron joined the team to support our customers with their software journeys, enabling you to get the most out of your data tools. A Better Business Cases registered practitioner, with a strong background in health planning, Cameron applies his methodical and analytical problem-solving skills to delivering tailored solutions for clients.

Cameron is passionate about providing opportunities for others, and he mentors and supports new graduates and interns to ensure their career gets off to a good start.

Ruqqaya Bibi
Ruqqaya is one of the faces you might see regularly, as she delivers a lot of the training for our flagship Strata tool. She’s skilled at translating complex information into clear, practical next steps for clients, enabling her to support you with your project and help move your estates and infrastructure programmes forwards.

Ruqqaya is a keen globetrotter, and she’s recently visited Turkey, China, Vietnam, Greece and Denmark, to name but a few!

Ramsha joined the team this year straight from university, where she achieved a masters in corporate communications, marketing and PR. She supports business development, ensuring our projects are on track and achieving results for our clients.

Will joined the team in 2026, and supports our projects and business development, making sure our clients are getting everything they need from our software tools. He has recently supported a number of social value and community needs analysis projects, drawing on his strong data and analytical skills. Out of the office, Will’s a musical maestro, who’s particularly fond of the guitar.

Claire Robinson
Joining the team in 2023, Claire has qualifications in both marketing and events planning, with experience working in B2B and B2C. As well as coordinating Parallel’s marketing and communications activities, she also creates content for a range of media.

When not writing social posts, she’s normally found in a field of one type or another, playing for a rounders team, volunteering at a local parkrun or riding horses.

The developers of Strata

Parallel is the provider and developer of the Strata tool, a web-enabled, evidence-based data visualisation tool that informs and supports the strategic planning of services and assets across the public sector. 

As well as developing Strata, Parallel also work on a range of digital projects that use their expertise in data visualisation and interactive mapping. This includes everything from creating a tool to support the government with their climate adaptation plans, to managing data for project management platforms, and working with academic research projects on innovative ways to map the prevalence of metabolic diseases.
