Parallel to grow its digital and data team

Parallel is boosting its data and digital team, recruiting for a number of technical roles in order to increase its capability to develop bespoke software for its public sector clients.

The company has created a number of jobs for software developers, at levels from lead developer to entry level graduate positions.

Parallel specialises in interactive mapping, data visualisation and insight, supporting organisations with their data challenges through bespoke software development. A public-private partnership, owned by Community Health Partnerships and Sewell Group, Parallel is best known as the provider of the Department of Health and Social Care’s SHAPE tool, and also created, maintains and manages NHS England’s ProCure23 project management platform.

The roles include:

Lead Developer – a hands-on role to work alongside the Head of Software to take accountability for the technical delivery of the company’s products.

Software Developer – playing an integral part in the creation, updating and maintenance of the company’s software products.

Graduate/Junior Developer – an entry-level position which will support across our various products, update and maintain datasets and be the first point of contact for client enquiries.

Parallel Chief Executive Claire Harrison said: “We’ve had a really busy year, with several new organisations commissioning products from us, and we have an exciting pipeline of work coming up in 2025 helping our estates consultancy sister companies to produce data and digital tools to support their clients.

“We’re looking for positive, enthusiastic and technically skilled people to join our small and friendly team and help us support our public sector clients to make decisions about their services, estates and budgets through our market leading web applications and data visualisation tools.”

The roles are all hybrid, with a mixture of working from home and the Parallel office at Bridgehead Business Park in Hessle. Apply via the Parallel website.
